Trying to figure out what engine I have
 

New to this car (and BMW), and some of the threads on this subject are quite old. I'm trying to figure out exactly what engine I have so I can do all the recommended maintenance now, rather than later =).
So I ran one of the VIN things and it came back with this for engine
It's a 1999 318ti, with all the bells and whistles from what I can tell -
Engine 318TI (USA) Model
103 Power
1.9 Displacement
MECH Transmission
HECK Drivertrain

Any ideas? Or need more info?

Welcome. It should be an M44B19. Look up the VIN at realoem.com or post here and we can find out for you.
