HELP! Car running hot.

I recently changed the thermostat, and water pump and the car is running hot. I've bleed the cooling system 4 times and the temp gauge is showing around 3/4. Could this be the head gasket?

did u bleed ur ti on a slope with ur front end higher then the rest of the car, people have trouble bleeding there cars sometimes this way it works a little better and make sure ur header is on and set it to full blast

I'm almost positive you haven't bled it correctly. First time bleeders have a hard time... I had a ton of trouble with mine. After a bunch of hot/cold cycles the air will work itself out.

The other thing to consider is a cloged radiator.

I bleed it while it was on my ramps. And this is my third e36 so I'm pretty sure I know how to bleed them by now.

you got air pockets in your cooling system - definatelly.

burping the damn thing is a bitch - once I failed twice in a row, my mechanic did it for me.

Not trying to offend you or anything... it's just that the M44 system is different than the 6 cyls. Our M Roadster is MUCH easier to bleed than the ti. Apparently, you don't know how to bleed them.
