parking distance sensors does any one have these on the ti and if not has any one fitted them from one that had them i wonderd if it was a plug and play system if all the wires are there and you can just plug the rest of the parts in and it will work |
The 318ti is not pre-wired for that option. "Cali-ti" is planning on installing it. Is that Ipswich England? I was reassigned from Germany to England years ago, and took my Scirocco on the ferry from Zeebrugge Belgium to Ipswich England. Quote:

I think clex2 has them installed on his ti. I think thats who has it not 100% sure. |
oh ok i looked at a few and they had the pdc so it was completlet put in from factory yes sure is ipswich england small world hay |
I have them and it just connected to the rear wiring harness. It's energized when the reverse lights are on. But you do need to drill holes in the bumpers. |
superb thank you so u just put the sensors onto the rear harness or did u have to biy some other bits a HOW TO would be great :) |

I did not do the install. |
Doesn't there have to be some wiring from the bumper to the dash? How can tapping into the rear lights alone make this work? Quote:

i've had them on both my 95 & 97 but weirdly they're a different system on each both are factory fitted on the '95 i replaced the whole control unit (behind the back right carpet in the boot) - which had the speaker mounted on top. My '97 has the control unit in the rear but the speaker is under the dash board. |
