1996 318ti California Top
 

I have a black 318ti with a working california top, new tires and CD.
It has 149,000 miles. It just got a new radiator, however the mechanic failed to do pressure testing which resulted in a blown head gasket. A temporary glue seems to have worked, but buyer beware.
Great for parts or if you like to repair the head gasket a great ride.

You can get way more than $1800 for it. I sold mine with a blown head gasket, no cali top, but a sport package for $3k on ebay.

I have driven it, but I put it off the road last month and garaged it. It would need a head gasket one way or aother as these fixes are not permanent.

New owner.

Just an update on this little car. I spent most of the weekend cleaning it. Its hard to believe someone let a car get this dirty. This is by far the dirtiest/most neglected car I have ever bought, and I have had many!! Found the fitting/elbow on the back of the cylinder head to be cracked. Ordering replacement tomorrow along with maintence/tune up items. Not sure how bad PO overheated it. But it seems to run fine and not overheat once I burped the cylinder head. Hopefully the head gasket is ok(for now). Should know more once the leak is fixed. So far I have used a jug and 1/2 of fabreeze, the "dog smell" is almost gone.:eek:

I have heard vinegar is a great tool for deleting smells- seriously. You can place a shallow bowl of it and park the car and let it sit then air out again. Otherwise get something called Nature's Miracle. It's geared for for pet pee/poo but it uses enzymes to break down the matter. The seats in these cars are super easy to remove too so don't be afraid to yank the rear seat bottom. It takes about 15 seconds.
