New to the forum realm prepping for 318ti S52 Swap Hi all, I bought a 1997 318ti with a bad M44 and have decided to swap the running gear from my T-boned 97 M3. Thought I would join the site and document my swap as it will be my first. Any credible advice is humbly accepted. |
Welcome....Always great tohave new TI owners. |
Thanks |
Welcome! Pics when you get a moment please! |
Sweet man, can't wait! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |
My advice would be to swap the sway bars over before doing the motor, turns out the sump wont fit with 4 cylinder bar. That's the only thing that caught me out on my M3 swap. |
Jamez thank you for the heads up, I wasn't planning on changing out the front sway bar, but sounds like I have to |
Welcome to the Forum. Good luck with the project. |
thanks, still removing the m44 |
looking to buy CF hood if anyone has one for sale |
M44 and all the wiring out. next step, going to figure out the s52 wiring now. anyone know of a video tutorial on this step? i have been looking but nothing yet. I am the worst when it comes to wiring, more visual rather than reading diagrams or flow charts. have to get this setup so I can get the fire-breathing monster in. W.A.R. Chip ordered and on its way thanks to the guys at Miller Performance. |
Can anyone help with an OBD2 wiring diagram for my S52 swap? |
