Where in the snot heck does the battery vent hose go???
 

Can anyone tell me where the factory battery vent hose is supposed to go? Mine was completely missing with no trace so a pic would be nice. Showing the route it takes and where it poops out all the funk! Thanks in advance!!!

Is there even one for the battery mounted in the engine compartment? My 95 never had one, or if it did, it fell off somewhere along the way.

I know all BMWs with the battery in the trunk have a vent that routes straight down and through a grommet, but that is because it is technically considered to be in the passenger compartment so it needs to vent out of the passenger compartment. Not really needed when the battery is in the front.

what are you guys talking about? Are you referring to the Battery Drain Hose? In the case the battery leaks acid? If so, it depends on your battery to begin with, does it have a drain output? Mine has one but I do not have a hose connected to it.
