Ebay Performance Chips Has any1 got or heard about these? Are they just a load of rubbish? It says they go onto the IAT sensor but mine is built into the air-flow meter as far as i kno! |
something that goes into the iat is not a chip its just a resistor. Ebay ECU chips are legit though. |
So would they make any difference? |
you might get a .5 horsepower gain, all it does is trick the computer into making the car run richer, but I really wouldn't screw with it |
No probs m8, cheers. Just thought i'd take a look at them cuz don't have the cash for anything else at the min as i had to pay £900 for insurance! :( |
Don't waste your money on these. I was thinking about getting a performance chip too, but it looks like these things don't do crap. I was reading this article about it, and it looks like these things don't work at all |
Most people would say that performance chips lead to more maintenance down the road which could reciprocate to more money needed.. However, some chips like Dyno or Dinan are preferred by bm owners.. |
They DO work. Don't listen to these people who just repeat information. It must be a 95 or prior car though. |

You guys are sad, ive run these in my cars and have even shown proof of gains. Getting very typical on this site, which is why i stay on bf.c. now. Lots of rotating misinformation. The chip for the m/s50 are TMS copies. |

all they have to do is just buy one Turner or Dinan chip, copy it exactly and make a profit |
