that is basically an ECIS heat shield I dont think it will work properly with the 318ti or any other 318 powered car because of the angle of the AFM that is why they don't offer one 318ti/is/ic specific! I have talked to the owner about this and they are working on one I'm not saying it can't be done without modifications though check out www.ecisbmw.com

im about to start my own heat shield project. i m able get a hold of stailess steel sheats metal. now the hard part is taht i have to find a place to secure the shield. my dad told me that i cant use any adhesive or glue on metal and only thing left is to screw it to some places. so its gonna be a nice project so, i have a question. i was thinking of just using the metal as a shield, but should i cover it wiht abs plastic to be more effective.

make your own heatshiels... I actually have a template for the ECIS, make it out of sheet aluminium and add carpet....

does anyone have a 540 intake or a 3.5" pipe i can buy?

what does a heat shield do? I heard that you need to have one installed in order for an intake system to give you more HP. How much would intake system (used for my hp) cost? 300 to 500? installed??
