WTB: Catalytic Converter for '99 ti

Hello – I’m in need of a replacement catalytic converter for my 1999 318ti. Since I’ve read on this forum that an aftermarket unit won’t pass inspection, I’m searching for a used but functioning converter. If anyone has one available and is willing to ship it to NC, please let me know. The OEM part # is 18301435664 (manufactured from 1/97 on). Thanks!

I doubt a 15 year old use cat is going to be very good either.
I've seen mentioned using a Magnaflow cat.

Thanks, 1996 328ti. It would be great if a Magnaflow would suffice but I really have my doubts after reading numerous threads on this. For example:

As for a 15-year-old cat not being reliable, it’s a risk of course but the 20-year-old cat on my 318is is still going strong. If I end up not finding a used unit, I’ll have to look into other options when inspection comes up in a couple of months…

318 mzk2, I replied to your message – thanks.
