Possible parting out of 325i for swap - Georgia
 

I acquired a 92 325i (mileage will be determined) with a major electrical issue. Thinking about parting it out and if anyone is interested on here. This is the M50, non vanos engine.

The engine runs fine, but the trans had a little grind when I shifted fast into second. I always wanted to do a 6 cyl swap so I figure I would put out any feelers here.

Looking to get $500 plus actual shipping on the engine other parts required to do the swap (wiring harness, engine mounts, etc).

I might record some video and of course run a compression test on it.

Run a compression test. I may need a chassis. Totaled my car 30 min after I got it due to bad tires that I neglected to properly check. It's got busted mounts and deployed airbags, and that's likely the worst of it. If the compression test comes out ok, keep your engine, sell it separately, and let me have the chassis pls

I will see about running the compression test tomorrow. Here is a pic of the chassis. The car is very photogenic as it looks no where near this good in person. Door panels are trash, sunroof doesn't work, I think it had electrical meltdown. There is a dent in the nose panel.

Power windows, gauge cluster also don't work. Only bonus is no rust.

Car is sold.
