Alternator Amps

Did ours came in 140 or 80 amps? The alternator that i have is either from the 96' engine or 99' engine. I forgot from which motor i kept.

Unfortunately, I don't have a precise answer for you, but I'd be surprised if it was as high as 140...that was mostly reserved for 6-cyl models. 80 or 90 sounds about right for an E36 BMW 4-banger...
