In defense of the ti I like our cars so much I wrote a passion piece about them: https://bimmerlife.com/2019/12/22/th...unloved-hatch/ Hope you enjoy! |

It's good to see a piece written that showcases our enthusiasm for this fun and often overlooked car. |
Good going. I need to pay more attention to BimmerLife. :) |

Though the "utility" of it bothers me sometimes. This is a performance rig people. Git your bikes and cinder blocks and TV's outta the boot! Rent a Uhaul and smoke cig's in it like a proper asshat. |

If I wanted a real performance rig, I'd go buy a Lotus (which I do plan on doing one day). |
I haul my drums around in mine. People are amazed how much I can cram in there. |

I'm sorry. I promise that this is the last crude comment I will make this year. Also... nice bit of writing, thanks for sharing! I say this often when talking about cars, especially mine, thanks for mentioning it: “It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.” |
ti is fun |
https://oppositelock.kinja.com/1999-...iew-1692222252 My son, teen ti on the .org, wrote this and posted it on opposite lock a few years ago. Before we really went all out and made it into an STX autox car. It is now being slowly returned to its original state (after I spun a bearing at The Glen during HPDE). I purchased a 98 ti with a 6 cyl swap and am currently transferring all of the suspension, etc. over to that one and making it into a dedicated track car. |
