I appreciate the response. I also realized the VIN# for my car is contained in the first post on this thread, so if this guy was legit he could find it himself as I've shared with him all the links available online about my car.

Anyway let's hope for some legit buyers soon, I reduced the price today.

Here's a quick video to check out. Not the best quality, will make one of me driving around.

Hey everyone!

It's been a fun but short ride. The car has sold to a lovely guy in CT named Vik (all you CT Ti guys will surely get to know him soon).

Mods please remove as car has been sold

BRADESTAR 01-13-2016 07:38 PM

Congratulations. I was slowly becoming tempted. Those articles about it were pretty good. You might still be learning about wrenching on cars, but you certainly have advertising talent.

...and now clear across the country for this one, CT! I guess ya can't stay rust-free forever...

95ClubSportti 01-13-2016 10:03 PM

Thank you BRADESTAR! I certainly helped put together the Panjo interview, but being picked up by Bring a Trailer was just luck. It certainly helped build some great interest in the car.

1/14: CAR BACK ON The market !

Hey everyone, I'm re-listing the car for sale. The initial buyer had a sudden personal issue come up which may delay his purchase and the commitment he previously gave me. With that in mind he is still very interested and in the running for the car, but if someone else is interested and can make me a concrete offer, I would take that. So the car is back on the market-Marc

Hello Ti people!

My plans have been firmly set, and I intend to re locate from Seattle by 3/1. I really cannot take this car with me, and I am looking to sell very soon. I will consider all offers. If you are interested please make me an offer, worst I can say is no, best I can say is you can buy this car.

Hey Marc, a lot of links in your first post. Have not gone through them, so not sure if it shown in any of them, but so far I have not seen you talking about the rust on the cut. What does it look like? Underbody/rails, floor pans?

95ClubSportti 02-04-2016 09:25 PM

328Wagon

I've had a full inspection done on the car at two different shops, and neither have mentioned any issues with rust.

Also the previous owner's original thread (http://318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=40550) says "ZERO RUST!"

so I hope this helps. I haven't personally been under the car to verify, but I trust the previous owner and the shops I had inspect the car.

Marc, I'm Mario. Couple more questions. To your knowledge, was there any work done in the suspension department? If so, was it replaced with factory grade/performance level components or aftermarket improvements? Same question for clutch/flywheel. When you had your head/engine work done, did you replace timing chain? What about the cooling system components (sounds like after your track adv÷nture the shop replaced the radiator, but I don't think I saw anything about water pump)?I appolagise if I ask questions that have already been answered in other posts.

Hi Mario,

Thanks for the great questions here!

No work has been done on the suspension, it is still stock. I'd recommend reading the previous owners posts on this as I haven't touched the suspension. The car rides really nicely. The front ball joints and lower control arm bushings are 3/5 according to my shop (1 being perfect 5 being needs replacement) so they are on their way.

I haven't done clutch or flywheel, I am pretty sure the previous owner has changed those a few years ago, but please double check me (I'll also dive into his paper work to provide a better response). My shop calls the clutch 3/5 as well, and did not mention any guidance or issues with the flywheel.

When the head was replaced we did not replace the timing chain, neither shop reported any issues with the chain, and it got a good rating. The car runs and idles very smoothly.

Cooling system, All hoses and the radiator is brand new, new thermostat as well, I did not replace the water pump, but again I am fairly positive that is something the previous owner replaced. I do have piles of paper work here, if you shoot me a private message with your email, I'd be more than happy to send you photos of the documentation.
