Identify Bolt
 

Can anyone identify this bolt. I found it under my 1996 318Ti after putting the summer tires on today.

Not a bolt I ever removed. Is that oil on the threads?

Air conditioning compressor? Or in that area I think there are 2 or 3 of those type.

Yes. Has a good quantity of oil. I’m watching for any leaks. Will check around the air compressor.

What was the last thing that you worked on? That is an awful lot of threads to fall out on it's own.

It's probably fine. Just drive, eventually you'll know. lol.





I can't find it on Realoem. But there are those types of bolts around the A/C. I'm sure of it. I had to make a special tool to get them out.

Can't remember what type of bolts are used to hold the axles into the diff on a ti, but that looks just like the bolts in my 1600's axles.

Oil filter housing bolt is my guess

Bradestar for the win. Missing two bolts. Compressor shifted and broke its wiring.
