hmm what else should i replace?
 

my m42 has an oil leak. valve cover is where i suspect the problem is because there is fresh oil there and im hoping thats the only leak. anyways im going to order one and its also about time for new spark plus so what else should i get? anything? basically what else would you replace since the motor will be slightly pulled apart at the time anyways

maybe some oil filters to stock up

check the valve train, possible rebuild of the Head some flow work, to give some new life.

you use M44 filters on your M42? Bimmerbums sell a 5pk of Mahle's for 20.00$..good deal IMO.

ive been using m42 filters, gonna hold off on head work though, ive been thinking of picking up an extra head to have my brother port out since he's the master at that stuff lol
anyways sounds like ill just make this a small job instead of a mini overhaul

tune up

Plugs, Air filter, oil/filter, Diff/Tranny fluid, brake fluid, check the belt(s), check you P/S for leaks, Rad Flush,

Check the oil filter housing for a new seal and oil pan, I just got leaks from both of them.

I would also do plug wires. Magnecore's are under $100.

plug wires will wait, since its right before christmas and i spent..a lot more than expected, and made less than expected.
bimmerbum is great though, got some stuff on the ebay auctions, great prices and products, fast shipper....
