Got some MM2's. 18's, not sure on the width. Dad picked them up for me since I'm at school. $180  Pics of the test-fit when I'm home in a couple weeks.

What'd you get Paulie? No more black contours for you?

I'm going to see what I can do to get them to a less shiny finish

how many bmw's have even raced the mille miglia? all i know is that they won in WWII and people were upset b/c they were propaganda for hitler.

it's kinda OT i know but im curious

Dad just sent me the widths. 9.5" rears, 8.5" fronts. Might need a little stretch:eek::biggrin:

Wow very nice! I've always wanted a set. And $180 is a freakin good price! Post pics of them mounted!

Of course. That is, if they even fit in the wells with those tires. I think the rears are 255's, and I rubbed with 235s, so we'll see

Moar pics when I'm home. They may get mocked up on moms Z3 if they don't fit on mine. I think the rear tires need to be roasted:biggrin:

Maverix 03-30-2009 04:18 AM

Yea, you're gonna have roll the rear fenders slightly. I'm at 8.5" right now, and it's like 1-2cm away from the fender. Pay the shop a few to do it for you. They'll use a head gun to keep the paint from cracking, then roll it very slowly.

Yours are 8.5's?

I'm already rolled slightly, and I'll just do it more myself if needed. I've got a heat gun, and the paint isn't all that great, so I'm not too worried. I can't wait to mock them up, they're gonna look SO much better than my Fox Evo 6's.

Maverix 03-30-2009 04:32 AM

Then you should be good to go.

Your current 5 spokes don't look that bad at all really. I like em.

budget76 03-30-2009 05:03 AM

Yeah, they're curbed pretty bad though, they may get refinished this summer as well. I'm ready for summer, sick of school:rolleyes:

BMW_Hatchback 03-30-2009 11:20 AM

you'l be fine with rolling it yourself, I have never seen BMW paint chip off, only cheap Honda paint when I rolled my buddy's Honda Fit. I'm running 18/8.5/225 all around with a slight drop, and I dont rub at all, did not roll my fenders. I also have 17X9 rims that fit in fine, but I do not know about if they were 18s. I think you should be fine though, you got all 4 with tires for 180? Better deal than what I got for my 18s

Bluebimma 03-30-2009 12:55 PM

225/40, 255/35, youll be fine.

DustenT 03-30-2009 06:56 PM

MM's are soft wheels. Be careful with them.
