Shakey Steering

I have noticed recently that when my car gets up to 60-70 mph the steering wheel begins to rattle and is very noticeable if you take your hands off it.

any ideas what could be wrong and how much it might cost to fix?

any help much appreciated

Check the items below. It's probably one of them. Most likely at the top.

1. Wheel balance
2. Ball joints
3. Control arms
4. Control arm bushings
5. Shocks

I had warped wheels that made mine jiggle. I had the wheels rebalanced to try to get a little bit of it out, but out of round wheels are another cause. I'm better a wheel weight fell off though.
