ZIPPY LIVES!

I've driven the 45 miles up to Cali-ti's place four times in order to work on my car. thanks to the people on this forum i had a bunch of parts to install before driving my car. today i buttoned up the project and started it for the first time in almost 3 years! the car ran smooth with an awesome idle. i put it in gear and backed it out of the garage...drove it about one half mile before returning to the house. i took some pictures and parked it back inside of the garage.
two problems popped-up. coolant over-flow tank has a small leak...and the transmission needs more fluid (or it's dying!). lol
those will be fixed here soon. but, Zippy's Alive!!!

Yeah!!! Zippy goes zipping about once more!

Hope the trans is not dying, but if it is, that just means it's time for a manual swap :)

You would think that after 41 LOOOONNNNGGG months in the clink the only 3 letter word on Sean's mind would be SEX...but NO it's CAR! :evil_lau:

Thinking I should I start a new thread called What did you do to your wife today? :eyebrow:

Oh, no... Sean, I think it could be time for an intervention...

It's too late now to switch teams, so make some time for a little sweet Cindy Lou lovin... Zippy will understand, I promise.. He'll be patient.

hey, I didn't get to a garage of 3 BMWs by spending time on women  sorry Cindy

congrats Sean, glad to see Zippy back on the road again

Congrads Sean!!!

rotflmao
leave it to Cindy Lou to stir the pot! she's just looking for some sympathy...trust me when i say i take care of the cars and wifey.

i found that there is a rubber gasket ring at the bottom of the expansion tank where the leak is located. so this might be a cheap fix...even after paying $5.00 for the part and $5.50 for shipping...for a little rubber ring!

thanks to all for the kind words...even Cindy Lou!
