White '96 318ti in Boston - Blown Head Gasket!

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/4953413753.html

Hey guys,

Unless someone manages to convince me to fix this poor thing, I'm hoping someone takes this off my hands.

Def open to negotiate, honestly didn't really know what to sell it for and I would much rather have it in the hands of someone who would take good care of it than ME or a scrapyard.

Thanks,
fixiefriend

Fix the poor thing! You could have the head gasket done, or drop a new (6cyl?) motor in. Weekend cars are ideal for lengthy time consuming fixes.

I like it. Hardtop, manual.

Price seems high, but maybe a good filter price for CL. Also can't really see the interior, or options, etc.

Good luck! Unfortunate situation.

That car was for sale on the Worcester craigslist for quite some time correct?

I saw your ad yesterday while looking online. Those Mille Migla's would look hot on my Titan silver car.

Yours is a base car with a M front bumper added, what interior does it have? Doing the head gasket is not that tough maybe one of the Boston guys can help you out with it.

Or call up the guys who ran car talk forever.

They own a diy shop in Cambridge Mass. Then there is Rachet Head in Newtown NH

Thanks for the recommendations -

Yeah, it's that same car. Don't ever deal with Eurodesign MK in Leominster.

It's got a grey carpet interior, super clean - bought some WeatherTech floormats for it too.

Just got off the phone with the good news guys, and they said it's possible the engine might be junk / not just a headgasket and it's difficult to assess without me bringing it in for a look- but they are close.

I was going to try to bring it to Farley (eurotech motorsports in Natick) if I did decide to get it fixed, but I'd definitely have to get a tow for that trip.
