If your fuel pressure is correct and the various sensors working correctly the ECU should be able to cope with the minor increase in volumetric efficiency.

It states 20w50 year round, which is about the cheapest there is....

I bought the car with this known problem. It turned out the head was cracked in 8 places - 2 to each of the 4 inner exhaust valves.

This appears to have been caused by the radiator fan switch...
