FYI.......I fill up using the trip odometer. Set it to 0 when I fill up, and stop for gas again when it gets to 300 or so. (The actual range on a tank is around 400 miles) Not worth the effort...

You might try cleaning the connections to the throttle position sensor. I had an issue with a fluctuating idle, which dropped too low, and that cured it. Not the same, but could be a common cause.

Visit strong-strut.com and look at the rear brace for the z3 and e30, which have the same rear suspension as the ti. This is a brace that fits under the car and tightens the suspension....easy bolt...
