bmws are clean running cars, especially the m44. you either did the experiment wrong or tis possible you might need something else i.e. oxygen sensor, cat, oil change, air filter, multiple things...

there are two different e30 318i's. The 84 uses the m10 engine and is definetly slower than ours. The 90-91 uses the m42 engine and is quicker due to less weight.

a 325e would take a ti off the line, but the ti would catch up in 2nd or 3rd gear.

a 325i would definetly beat a ti. even the e30 318i would beat the ti...
