yes the intake has to come off to access the sensors, I do not know if this is a sensor issue but I would pull the intake and check all the sensors first for loose connectors shorts etc.

Wonderful! At least I have some references, I will take pics tonight of the actual connectors with markers so that we can get a map then I'll put a post up of the final solution once we get the mess...
