I finally got some information about the 1284...

I finally got some information about the 1284 code!!! From what I've discovered that code is thrown when your alternator is becoming faulty or has been faulty. I replaced my alternator last fall...

what all parts in a M42 are forged? In an M42 wouldn't it be wise to do a little internal work to the motor before FI, like upgraded head gasket and a little head work first?

I like the way you think! That is very true as well just because a car with a supercharger only hits a certain HP/TQ doesn't mean the it had a proper tune. I've seen a couple main places around...

try a piece of a garden hose if you have one that is effed up somewhere lol that's what i did on my old 64' impala and found it right away. I think that works a little better than a screw driver!
