I actually totally lucked out. Looking into it, the wire that died was a ground. Replaced it, reinstalled everything and the car drives perfect. Not I just gotta find a S52 haha

If I swap our my M44, is the wiring harness normally swapped as well? My M44's harness is shot, figured it might be more cost effective to buy a donor and swap.

Wiring harness short

So I had a short in at the ignition switch that fried the wires on the main harness. What kind of nightmare is this to replace? Looks like a new one is $1K, or off a donor car.

So I bought this car from a kid who got it from a kid, and they liked to tinker. Most of it's good stuff, car runs great for its miles. It has developed a quirk though that I cannot figure out.

Just scored a 1999 318ti in great condition, for a great price. The main issue (and a huge reason for the price) is the ignition switch has rounded out and the guy was starting it with a screwdriver...
