Easy rear-speaker upgrade - Kicker DS-40 4-1/2"

Installed 4-1/2" Kicker DS-40 speakers into the rear bezels on my girlfriend's car last weekend ($49 at local Fry's)

The only non-standard tools required were tin snips to trim the mounting tabs...

Ah, yes, good. Although tire clearance becomes an issue with 245s (without them, 255s). If you're running smaller, or willing to relief where necessary, not a problem.

That a product like that exists, begs the question of whether plastic is a good material to use for a clutch pivot point :_punch:

For the benefit of anyone else who stumbles onto the same symptoms, there's one unlikely root cause you probably hadn't thought of: a broken clutch lever pivot fulcrum....
