I had the same problem, same noise after recharge, it ended up being that I over recharged and it needed oil, got it drained, and recharged to specification and added oil. Problem gone and Compressor...

well I just replaced my ac compressor my self and had to recharge it. Look to the right of the battery on the firewall and you should see the recharge nipple, it should have a black or blue cap mine...

Well today I checked the problem plug, I never got around checking it yesterday. The plug looks good today and not a sign of oil on it and she’s been running fine. I guess all is well.

Thanks Paul, I plan on checking the plug every single day for the next several days just to make sure all is well. Once the new year is in I will sure replace the Valcover Gasket and all the seals...
