electrical problem?

ok so i bought a 97 318ti and the check engine light was on. i checked the codes and it was an 02 sensor and the camshaft position sensor. i changed the 02 sensor and the check engine light went off....

I bought a 97 318ti a month ago it was in a wreck and now back on the road. How would you know if it is chipped. it has the 318ti sticker on it never thought about it before just curious.
