I looked around and couldn't find my EWS box from...

I looked around and couldn't find my EWS box from my '96. Have the DME and key chip, but that wont work.

The computer needs a while (70 miles) to 'ready' all the systems for emissions testing....

In the world of E36 the ti boot is unique. I have a Z3 boot in my ti now and it's fine, just a little bit off. They look the same to the naked eye and a Z3 does...

A 996 is close to 20 year's old now too. Sounds like you shelled out for the turbo, so don't have the ims issue. But I'd bet dollar's to donuts that maintenance is a lot cheaper for our lowly 4's....
