If you only run a methanol/water mix then it is fine before the supercharger. Been running it like that for a year or two now. Increases the boost a bit.

Cheers. I think it is because the 2.8 and M models have a wider rear track and therefore have longer shafts. Back to trying to get some second hand E30 ones in good condition!
