Dave, good point. your theory is possible, although I saw oil dripping directly from the oil pan holding bolts. Will do do more cleanup this weekend and observe again

Temp drop while on freeway

Noticed the temp gauge slowly started going towards 11 o'clock while I was on freeway. It went back to 12 o clock after some time and so on

It's a 96 318ic with m44 motor
May have bad coolant...

I did remove fan clutch from the water pump with no problem many times, except this last time where it was hard stuck and spent hours with no luck

This is what I did to remove it.

Was hoping to do a long block swap to save time, but the transmission connector(don't have the model # of the tranny yet) is different on these two cars

start taking off the rubber panel ( is it called bushing?) from the outer edge, then you can see a heavy metal cover kinda thing with two screws one...
