I ordererd Recaro baseframes in mid August. Received the driver side baseframe this week. The passenger side is still on backorder. Seems like hard stuff to get... :frown:

Seats arrived. Was lucky to find a set of used Recaro Sportster CS in black leather trim.
The seats are 1.5 years old, and are in mint condition.
Looks like brand new. Even the smell of leather...

New upgrade comming...

Within a few days these seats are arriving - Recaro Sportster CS in full leather.

Weight saving is approximately 15kg (33lbs) in total over the stock leather e36 sport seats... :smile:

The complete brake system has now been through its first winter. No problems with the rear brakes.

Had some issues with the front calipers. The brake pad dust from the Ferodo DS2500 street pads...

I am using DOT5.1 for both street and track. I do always change the break fluid before each track event. Sometimes I also bleed the brake system during a track event.

Rear clearance is no issue. Front, using Contours II in 17x7.5" a 3mm spacer is needed. No spacer needed using Contours II in 17x8".

Update I - Aug 2011

Attended at a BMW club track day event. Had some problems getting rid of pad deposit from the street pads on the front discs. However, when the deposit disappeared, the brakes functioned perfectly....
