Its strange cause the mechanic fixed a different vacuum leak and you can tell the car is running smooth(for a damn change!) when it idles with A/C off.

1 thing I did notice is that when I run the A/C, when the car comes to a stop, the idle drops below its normal position and kicks...

A friend of mine knows a BMW mechanic and he performed the following on my 1998 318ti w/ 80k miles.

Used all Genuine BMW Parts

Oil Change using BMW filter and BMW Fossil 10w30.
Air Filter...
