Follow-Up: I've not had the symptom since cam position sensor was replaced. It appears to have been solved. Thanks to all who replied for help troubleshooting!

Thanks! I checked the intake boot and didn't need to remove it to see it should be replaced. It appears to be the original and the rubber has visible cracks near the clamp and small cracks appear...
