I know this is a super old post, but I recently ripped out my dash & blower motor in my right-hand-drive 96 318ti so I could pull out the heater core/evaporator box and replace my air con evaporator....

My 1996 right-hand drive 318ti had an engine swap in Feb this year. Prior to that both the air con and heater worked just fine. After the engine was swapped, neither worked.
