How much fuel did you have in the car? I'm down to about 2400 right now. Still have the air conditioning, the door cards, all original glass. I ended up pulling out all of the alarm wiring, horns, passenger side air bag support bar, the entire glove box(replaced with an aluminum panel) and also got a lightweight battery. I went with a deka etx14, it was badged as a "big crank" or something like that from advanced auto parts. Cost 64$, much cheaper than the same exact battery branded as a Braille, and it weighs in at like 13 pounds. I've got some maintenance work I have to do before my next track event and I'm thinking about having the AC system drained of refridgerant and pull the entire system. Haven't decided yet.. Also, I should be getting some Kosie K1s in 17x8.5 size which will drop me about 20 pounds total in unsprung weight. My current rims are boat anchors at just over 20 pounds each. |
