No alignment is needed with the proper Conforti chip. I'm not sure why the dinan chips needed to be aligned, other than the dealer is typically the retailer for this chip. | You could make the assumption that the dealer might want to make more off you by saying the EWS would need to be aligned. I would not put it past them, but in my case, I took the chips home and installed them myself and no start. The dealer confirmed that EWS aligbment would not be needed. However, they were wrong and aligned the EWS and Dinan chip free of charge, so they had no monetary incentive to do the alignment. __________________
