The ASC valve is located just downstream of the MAF. It looks like a throttle body, but it's actually just a valve prior to the throttle body. Follow the cable from the valve and it will lead you to the ASC actuator which should be mounted to the strut tower next to the cruise control actuator and airbox. I'm guessing that your misfire was caused by a loose, dry or cracked intake boot or perhaps the oval ASC boot. What amazes me is that you've went through all of the extra measures to disconnect the ASC when it would have been much easier to just fix the problem. |
