Hey James, before you modify the fenders, try to dremel off some of the inside plastic lip of the top corner on the rear bumper where it meets the wheel arch. I rolled my fenders with a block of wood and a sledge hammer, then I even grinded them down slightly
I know, I know... it was incredibly dumb, but I'm making a widebody anyway
Anyway, it still rubbed even with the fender lips almost completely grinded
and I found out later that it was the top corner of the rear bumper that was rubbing the whole time
Filed a little of the plastic down, no more rubbing. I was running the same tires as you, 215/40/17 and my style 42's were the same fitment as the style 5's, 17x8 et20.
BTW, If you do roll your fenders, DON'T USE MY METHOD, use a fender roller and a heat gun.
