Hey guys, I'm looking into doing this on my car. Has anybody done a direct comparison of the different e36 fuel pumps and confirmed that they are really different? They look pretty similar, and the way the pumps mount into the fuel tank looks the same. Is the fuel tank in the Ti different than the sedan tanks in the layout?
If I do this, I will gladly do a full writeup and instructions. Being able to run my car down to almost empty is going to be essential to me getting my car down to the minimum competition weight that I can compete at now. Kind of running out of things to lose weight without getting rid of glass and metal body parts for lighter components.
