Works for sure, that was the cure to my blown speakers. Just make sure you put them on the correct side of the car - the 2 parts you get are mirror imaged, necessary given the screw stud patters, and the parts "can" be installed upside down on the wrong side. if you do that there will be an air gap between the adapter plate and the car, does not sound as good as getting them on the correct side...
