I just replaced this part yesterday on my ti. I removed the intake manifold, since i also replaced all the hoses as well. Keep in mind that there's also another coolant connector on the back of the block that breaks as well. If you decide to remove the intake manifold, it would be best to replace that part too (and hoses) All the pics are in the DIY:
