A couple weeks ago I finally replaced the front license plate after it fell off a few months ago.
I had bolted it to the center plastic trim piece on the M front bumper, which I thought was a good idea at the time. It took the trim piece with it when it fell off. To be fair, it did hold up for 25k miles.
Decided I needed to attach it to the bumper itself, not just the trim. Used this solution here with the proper plate holder as designed:

The screws (51181821830) are not compatible with the body nuts listed (07129925735) unless they just sent me the wrong ones mislabeled. After some testing of fitment, I discovered the body nuts needed screws that are M5 size (the metric size, not the car
) which I was able to find at Home Depot.
