The perfect swap candidate
I just picked up a swap candidate for my Ti. Drove 3 hours down to look at a 1996 BMW 328i 4 door 5 speed. The guy on Craigslist said it only had cosmetic issues (very obvious fire damage I attribute to a sub installation without an inline fuse). Took it for a spin and the clutch would slip with anything more than 1/4 throttle. Ended up talking the guy down to $600. Motor runs surprisingly well for 225k miles, but I'm planning on refreshing it when it's out of the car. Rest is going to be parted out (anyone want anything [emoji1] ). For those who are informed about the m50/ m52 is there anything I should just go ahead and do while it's out of the car? Planning on new clutch and flywheel, ccv delete, CDV delete, SAP delete, and replace most of the gaskets.
