Hi J!m,

We actully modified the original driveshaft, and (unlike everything else with this project!) it came back from the shop that did it and fit right in. I can crawl under the car and measure it if you like (probably this weekend) and post measurements, not a problem. IAC, it wasn't that expensive to get done.

IIRC, you're using the M Coupe / Roadster diff; I don't recall if that's the medium case (188) diff, but if not, sizing might change slightly for that; the input shaft on the 188 diff was slightly longer than the input shaft on the stock 168 diff.

The project is finally up and running now, and aside from the shifter angled slightly more rearward than before, everything works great. I think slightly longer shift pieces or perhaps just a quick strategic bend in the shifter itself will angle it perfectly - it wouldn't even be worth mentioning, except my race seat limits my arm movement somewhat.
