Real life tuning would be pretty cool. They have that in rfactor. For instance, if you up the RPM limit on your motor and do not increase the radiator size as well, you can overheat the motor and blow it up. You also have to make sure that the radiator is sized appropriately for the length of the race, and the weather conditions.
You can also run the MOTEC data acquisition software that is the same MOTEC software you would use if you use a motec stand alone system. So you can actually tune the engine mappings just like in a real car, or do data acquisition just like a real race car. |
