If you're talking about the pin that connects the aluminum shifter bracket to the top of the tranny, you have to spread the clip and then pop it up, once it's lifted up, then the pin can slide out. You can't see it with it in the car, but there's a little hook on it that catches on the transmission housing. Try, sticking a medium sized screwdriver in there and then twisting it while prying up. It'll eventually lift up and you'll see what I'm talking about.
