How about a stethascope?
It sounds like "lucked out" and you have another issue that just happened to start
when you swapped the pump. How about alternator bearings? Power Steering Pump?
HMMM ,,,,
Anybody ever had a timing chain tensioner fail?? Whats it sound like?
