nothing is cheap my friend. if you want something you'll have to work your way up to it. but you should focus on the compression test on your motor first. make sure that is up to specs. see if all your gaskets and hoses are good. might as well make sure you have a strong motor that can take a beating before going into forced induction. don't want to spend a lot of money on a supercharger or turbo when all of a sudden your motor dies out on you..
for myself, my goal for next summer is to rebuild my motor. all new gaskets, seals, hoses... as much as i can. then the following year do a forced induction.

all in all, focus on the condition of your motor first before throwing a bunch of money into it.
