Default Driveshaft Specialists of Texas Reman'd Driveshaft Install

27JUN2015 - @172,026 Miles I installed a Reman’d Driveshaft from Driveshaft Specialists of Texas. I noted they did not thoroughly lube the Splines near the Center Support Bearing w/Moly Grease so I liberally applied some after loosening the Threaded Sleeve Nut next to the Center Bearing. I applied more Moly Grease to the little Bearing on the front end that engages the Transmission Shaft as well. I also applied Permatex Anti-Seize Compound to the 2 Bolts/Nuts holding the Exhaust halves together. A seven mile test drive proved all is quiet again with no more thumping noise due to sloppy loose U-Joint by the Differential.

Driveshaft Specialists of Texas was recommended on BimmerForums and the cost was $458 - $80 (Core Charge) = $378. All shipping was included in the price as well as pre-paid shipping the old Core back to DSofT. The Reman included new U-Joints, new CSB, as well as balancing.
